Harper Board Raises Pay for Part-Timers and Stiff Arms Union

IN JULY, HARPER College trustees approved a 3.7 percent pay raise for the college’s 500 part-time faculty. The raise brings the average salary of an adjunct professor to about $676 per credit hour. However, the pay scale for part-timers could be amended when their union completes contract negotiations with college officials. The last bargaining session was June 28th.
