The Division of Science and Engineering at Penn State University, Abington College is seeking to fill two full-time Assistant Teaching Professor/Lecturer faculty positions to start in August of 2019. The review process will begin November 15, 2018 and continue until the positions are filled. Minimum qualification is a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry/Analytical Biochemistry (one position), or Biochemistry (second position) or closely related fields.
Applicants with an MS degree in either of these fields and at least five years of experience teaching at the college level will also be considered. The successful candidates will be expected to teach Introductory Chemistry as well as upper level Biochemistry to an exclusively undergraduate body of students from diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds; act as academic advisers; and provide service to the Division and College. The teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester.
