The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. This is a non tenure-track faculty position, with duties oriented primarily towards undergraduate instruction in mechanical engineering. The initial appointment will be for two years and is renewable. The anticipated start date is August 2019.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field). Priority will be given to individuals with significant prior industrial experience and those who hold professional licensure. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching experimentation (ME 310/311), CAD (ME 205), and capstone design courses (ME 411/412) in the mechanical engineering curriculum. Applicants should have strong written and oral communication skills and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.

In addition to the regular nine-month appointment, the successful candidate may have an opportunity to teach an experimentation or CAD course during the summer.
