Northwestern University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Asian American Studies Program. We seek a candidate to teach courses in Cultural Studies (including Asian American popular culture and media), core courses, and both introductory and advanced seminars on topics emerging from their research areas. Responsibilities include: teaching six quarter-length courses annually (with possible course reductions for additional service); program building; and collaborating with Asian American Studies students and faculty. This is a non-tenure track, benefits eligible, full-time appointment starting September 1, 2019. Ph.D. is required by the start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and who have demonstrated experience working with diverse student communities.
