Description

The Department of Biology at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs will establish and maintain a pool of temporary Lecturers from which future appointments to non-tenure-track teaching positions will be made. Temporary Lecturer appointments will be part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. Temporary Lecturer appointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits or leave accrual, and pay rate is dependent on the number of courses taught.

Applicants for temporary Lecturer positions must have a Masters degree that qualifies them to teach lecture and/or lab courses offered by the Biology Department (course list is here.). Applicants should address their qualifications for teaching specific classes in a Teaching Statement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree in Biology or discipline related to courses to be taught. For those with Master's degrees in other disciplines, such as education, engineering, psychology, etc., applicants must have 18 credit hours of graduate work related to the Biology courses to be taught.
