Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. The Department of Rhetoric and Composition invites applications for experienced teachers to teach writing, rhetoric, and research. Successful candidates will be asked to teach up to three, and in some cases four, courses per semester (approximately eighteen students per section), which include first-year courses in the areas of analysis, argument, and research writing. After successful completion of their first year of teaching, candidates may be invited to teach advanced courses in creative writing, academic and/or technical and business writing.
For instructor rank, an MA in Rhetoric and Composition or a related field within the humanities or other relevant fields and at least one year of teaching writing are required. MFA's with teaching experience relevant to rhetoric and composition are also strongly urged to apply.
