Job Summary:
This Adjunct faculty member provides instruction primarily in Health Sciences - Health Services Management courses and other related areas given appropiate credentials.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings
- Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives
- Participates in curriculum development and revision that stress innovation and multicultural emphasis
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Teaches both, evening and weekend classes as needed
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Health Services Administration or Management; or Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with 12 graduate semester hours in Health Services Administration or Management; or Master's degree in Allied Health or Health Sciences with 12 graduate semester hours in Health Services Administration or Management and Two (2) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in the Health Care Services industry.
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends
- Must be able to work effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
