Job Summary:

This Adjunct faculty member provides instruction primarily in Health Sciences - Health Services Management courses and other related areas given appropiate credentials.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings
  • Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives
  • Participates in curriculum development and revision that stress innovation and multicultural emphasis
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Teaches both, evening and weekend classes as needed
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Health Services Administration or Management; or Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with 12 graduate semester hours in Health Services Administration or Management; or Master's degree in Allied Health or Health Sciences with 12 graduate semester hours in Health Services Administration or Management and Two (2) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in the Health Care Services industry.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends
  • Must be able to work effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
