The Opportunity

Lesley University's Department of Media Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Digital Filmmaking Techniques III (IDFLM 2220) Wed/1:15PM-5:00PM in-person course Spring semester (01/21/25 -05/02/25)

Course Description: You know how to tell great stories, and can make beautiful footage -- now we put it all together! This course focuses on intermediate editing skills, emphasizing editing for your story. We look at post-production techniques that bring that professional finish to your work. We'll also focus on audio recording, live audio and how to get great sound on-set! We'll learn how to edit and mix sound for your film, and put it all together into a complete package that looks and sounds great on the big screen!

Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years teaching Film production
  • Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
  • 5 years of experience in the Film industry
  • Professional experience with live audio recording and editing
  • Industry production experience, or comparable teaching experience, using Adobe Premiere
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
