Job Description:

Oakton College Youth STEAM program is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative instructor for the

2025 summer camp program. The course instructor assists in developing hands-on curriculum and

teach PYTHON classes for children ages 8-14 that are fun, yet academically challenging.

 

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a degree in education and significant experience with classroom management
  • Must have demonstrated experience using technology in teaching, training, or tutoring of youth

  • Demonstrated experience with the subject matter
  • Must be enthusiastic about hands-on learning

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Preparation of course presentations and instructional materials (as appropriate)
  • Delivery of instruction, including being prepared for and meeting courses and laboratories (if
  • appropriate) at scheduled times
  • Compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures including but not
  • limited to submission of final grades

Subject Matter includes:

  • Python Coding Skills

 

Additional Information:

Hourly: $40-$50 hourly

This position is located on the Des Plaines campus

Dates and Hours: Note: Flexibility with dates before 12/20/24

7/21/25-7/24/25 Monday - Thursday, 1-4pm

7/28/25-7/31/25 Monday - Thursday, 1-4pm
