Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in all aspects of landscape maintenance including repair, demolition, construction, installation, and care of plants, trees. hardscapes, turf and related equipment. Assists with organizing, assigning, inspecting work of grounds staff and provides in-field direction on projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience
- Two years of experience or a combination of equivalent education and related experience, in professional turf maintenance or landscaping, landscape maintenance and professional snow removal operations required.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in required duties.
- Illinois Pesticide Applicator's license with Turf and Right of Way endorsement required within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License required.
- Four years of experience in professional turf maintenance, or landscaping preferred.
- Two winter seasons in professional snow removal preferred.
- Experienced in grounds equipment repair preferred.
- Illinois Pesticide Applicators License with Turf or Right of Way endorsement preferred.
- COD Training
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Hazardous Communications
- Forklift /Scissor /Aerial Lift
- Electrical Safety
Working Conditions:
Pay Grade:
Hiring Range: $20.45 - $24.03 based on experience
