The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide instructional assistance to students in STEM courses in the Math Assistance Area of the College of DuPage. Hours: Up to 24 hours per week during academic terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year). Some evening or weekend hours may be required.

All hours will be worked from our Glen Ellyn, IL campus.

This is a NON-TEACHING/NON-CREDIT teaching position.

  • Providing academic assistance to students in mathematics, physics or other STEM courses.
  • Consult with college mathematics faculty and senior academic assistants for consistency in tutoring students as needed.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or other STEM field required.
      • Master's degree in mathematics or other STEM field preferred.
    • Experience
      • Experience providing academic assistance in mathematics or other STEM field at the high school level or above required.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a proficiency in spoken English required.
      • Experience teaching mathematics or other STEM field at the high school or college level preferred.

    All hours will be worked from our Glen Ellyn, IL campus.

    Working Conditions:

  • Basic computer and electronic communication skills.
  • This position is subject to a background check and education verification at the expense of the College.
  • Pay Grade:
    CAT3- $25.75
