Summary of Position: This part-time administrative position works directly with the DCCL program staff to serve as a national program ambassador, representing the program at national community college events, championing the program with national community college leaders, and exploring opportunities for program advancement and development.
The anticipated start date for this position is January of 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Required Education: Doctoral degree in community college or higher education leadership, or related field.
Required Work Experience: Extensive experience in the community college environment in a senior leadership position.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Graduate of the DCCL program, member (current or former) of the DCCL Advisory Board, or DCCL faculty (current or former)
Ability to network with leaders in the community college environment, understand challenges of the community college environment, and work with college leaders on leadership development opportunities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Attend 5-6 national conferences and events annually, representing the DCCL Program.
* Recommended conferences include AACC (Spring: March/April); League for Innovation (Spring: March/April); WDI (Winter: January); HLC (Spring: April); ACCT Leadership Congress (Fall: October)
* Participate as presenter when appropriate to role as Program Ambassador
* Contribute to program recruiting efforts, as appropriate
Work with DCCL staff in program advancement and development efforts, leading initiatives in developing program connections with CC leaders / presidents from across the country.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Identify opportunities for program enhancement and development related to CC leadership, such as research grants, affiliations, publication opportunities, and educational programming. Lead new initiatives, working with DCCL staff, Advisory Board members, faculty, and alumni, as appropriate / useful.
Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated commitment, experience and understanding for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
