Job Description:

The Department of Chemistry and Physics is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach Astronomy Lecture and Laboratory during the Fall semester 2023, from September 6 to December 12.

This course is an introduction to the origin and evolution of the universe, emphasizing the methods of acquiring astronomical information. Basic physical concepts such as atomic structure, thermodynamics and electromagnetic radiation are presented at an elementary level. This course is attended by both science and non-science majors.

The current schedule of the course is Lecture Mondays and Wednesdays 2:50 - 4:05 pm and the Laboratory meeting is Wednesdays 4:15 - 6:15 pm.

 

Requirements:

Candidates should possess a minimum of a Master's degree in a related field and preferably have experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
