Position Overview: The School of Health Sciences seeks adjunct faculty to teach microbiology course for Fall semester 2021. The meeting times are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 – 9:50 AM. The Fall 2021 semester runs from August 30th until December 17th, 2021. The section cap is 25 students, and the pay rate is $4,400 per section.
Responsibilities: Effective teaching strategies involving lab and lecture components that promote positive student learning are required. Duties include delivering lecture and laboratory instruction in a classroom setting, organizing labs, providing the students a comprehensive syllabus, administering exams, and grading students’ assignments. Dedication to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of microbiology is expected.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology or Biological Science with an emphasis in microbiology; applicants with Master’s Degree will be considered. At least two years of college teaching experience is required of candidates applying with a Master’s.
