Job SummaryTeach one or more introductory and/or general chemistry courses offered at CLC.

The courses must be taught in accordance with current program approved course descriptions, course outlines, textbooks, and syllabi. Prepare lecture and lesson plans, teach lecture and/or lab portion of class, and respond to and grade student work. Use appropriate academic software (e.g. Canvas Learning Management system, Power Point, etc.)

Required QualificationRequired Qualifications for CHM 120, 121, 123, 140, and 142:

Master's Degree in Chemistry or related field;

OR

Master's in another discipline AND eighteen (18) graduate credits in Chemistry.

Required Qualifications for CHM 125, 222, 223:

Master's Degree in Chemistry or related field;

OR

Master's in another discipline AND eighteen (18) graduate credits in Chemistry, including Organic Chemistry.

Desired QualificationsPrevious college teaching experience.

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Total Hours per week: Up to 12 hours.

Work ScheduleVaries by course. Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays.
