Salary: Salary per Credit Posting Summary The Honors Living and Learning Community, Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), is seeking part-time instructors for the Fall 2020 semester to teach Negotiating Space, Place, and Identities. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during the assigned course times; holding office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students; responding to student e-mails; conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner; and submitting final grades. Course appointments may require instruction during the day, on evenings, on weekends, off-campus, online, hybrid, or remotely Posting Open Date: 07/24/2020 Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of course content required. Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must. Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level is highly desired.
