Lecturer The University of Colorado Denver l Anschutz Medical Campus seeks individuals with demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning and working environment. This posting is for a part-time lecturer position with experience teaching Anthropology, with an emphasis on Biological Anthropology. Lecturers may be asked to teach on campus, remotely or fully on line This position will emphasize human evolution and modern human variation at the introductory level. This class is also in the University wide core in the Natural and Physical Sciences with a lab. As such, all aspects of the department, university and state learning goals will be covered. The lecturer will be expected to teach the lecture section of the class and work with assigned teaching assistants to insure that the laboratory section is taught at the highest level with particular attention to inclusiveness and student success. Lecturers are expected to fulfill all responsibilities associated with teaching assigned courses, including but not limited to:
  • Conducting all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared way
  • Thorough and accurate correction of assignments, providing appropriate and constructive feedback
  • Prompt return of corrected work and recording of grades
  • Providing guidance and support of students
  • Offer regular weekly office hours for students .

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • MA in Anthropology with classes in Biological Anthropology
  • Teaching experience in a community college, college or university setting.
