Teach basic water and wastewater operator certification programs. To provide face-to-face classroom instruction to students through lecture, demonstration, laboratory exercises, handouts, responding to questions. Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes. Classes are scheduled and taught at various times throughout the calendar year. Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening and/or weekend classes. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HiSET). Certified Operator, and experience as a certified Water/Wastewater Operator is required. Additional Qualifications: Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. Some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills with the teaching and learning process, and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
