Adjunct Lecturer - Environmental Science & Ecology
The College at Brockport The College at Brockport, State University of New York is seeking applicants for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty openings in the department of Environmental Science and Ecology. Position Description The department typically hires adjunct faculty to teach classroom and field/lab-based courses in environmental science and ecology, on an as-needed basis. Illustrative needs or job duties include but are not limited to: Preparing and delivering lectures Preparing and delivering field- and lab-based exercises Developing and grading assignments Required Qualifications Master's Degree Environmental Science and Ecology or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or an appropriate level of experience commensurate with the adjunct lecturer responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Environmental Science and Ecology or a related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university. Significant teaching experience. Salary and Benefits $2,500 per 3 credit hour course (this amount may vary and if it does it requires the Dean's office and the Provost's office approval.) Health insurance is available to part-time faculty who teach six or more credits, contact hours, or credit equivalents per semester.
