Visiting Assistant Professor of French
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of French beginning fall 2020. Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire.
Candidates should have a record of excellence in teaching in French language and literature. Normal teaching load is 5 courses per year. Although the field of specialization is open, the successful candidate will have considerable training as a generalist and will be able to teach survey courses and undergraduate seminars in literature, as well as language classes at all levels. The successful candidate may also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
