Young Harris College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position to begin in January 2020 teaching American History I. We anticipate offering one course spring semester with the possibility of additional courses for the 2020-21 academic year. Young Harris Early College is the YHC dual-enrollment program in which high school students take college courses to receive transferable college credits while still earning credit toward high school graduation. This Early College course will be taught in the high school classroom. The instructor will need to commute to Towns County High School near Hiawassee, GA.

The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in History or a closely related field. A strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required, as well as a comfort in using technology. Course enrollments are capped at 20-25 students per course. Instructors are compensated per course at competitive rates.
