Adjunct Evening Electrical Technology Instructor

The Technology Department is currently seeking an Adjunct Electrical Technology Instructor to join our exciting and student-focused team at our beautiful SW Iowa Campus, in Council Bluffs Iowa. The Adjunct Electrical Technology Instructor is responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the Dean. All candidates interviewed will be required to provide a teaching demonstration.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical OR 6000 hours work experience is required and teaching experience is preferred. Candidate for this position should have expertise in electrical field. Expertise should include proper wiring, bending, evaluating amps, safety, and blueprint reading. Must maintain lab safety and cleanliness through instructional activities. Usage of an online learning management system is required.

Occasional lifting of 10 lbs., ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use a phone, and some travel including by vehicle may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision. High level of problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check.
