Lecturer of Industrial Engineering
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Systems & Industrial Engineering faculty position in the Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering, which begins January 2020.
The primary responsibilities for the position include teaching and service work with an emphasis on enhancing the teaching mission of the Department.
The appointment is for 9-months but has the possibility of teaching opportunities in the summer. The teaching load is nine courses per academic year (fall and spring semesters). Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, will be considered with industry experience. An earned doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, is preferred.
The ideal candidate should have an area of specialization in probability/statistics, job costing, engineering economy, quality improvement, human factors, operations research, manufacturing, work measurement, operations management, plant layout, project management, simulation, and/or logistics.
Preferred qualifications include:
• Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering license.
• Experience teaching in various instructional modalities.
