The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the University of Michigan, Dearborn seeks an instructor to teach two sections of our undergraduate Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies course for the Winter 2020 semester. Instructors are appointed at 50% for the term for teaching two 3-credit courses. The Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies course provides students with an interdisciplinary and multicultural introduction to a variety of perspectives on, and approaches to, the study of women’s experiences. This course will introduce students to some of the most significant events and ideas in feminist history, feminist theory and gender studies. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Women’s and Gender Studies or a related Behavioral or Social Sciences field with evidenced expertise in gender and/or sexuality studies. Candidates who can demonstrate a minimum of two years teaching experience at the University level with positive teaching evaluations are highly preferred.
