Course Description: PSY-804: Humanistic, Transpersonal and Existential Psychology

This course explores the historical roots, theoretical foundations, major works, and guiding philosophy of Humanistic, Transpersonal and Existential (HTE) psychology. This course also examines the different approaches to studying HTE as it relates to human motivation, needs, will, love, and existence in a contemporary world.


Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.


Minimum: Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution with Scholarly publications/presentations is required. Psychology Doctorate OR Doctorate in a related discipline with 9 graduate credits in Psychology.

1. At least 3 years experience teaching graduate level psychology. 2. At least 5 years of progressive professional work experience related to psychology.
