Lecturer (Instructor) Academic Year - Non-Tenure Track - United Nations Master's Program
The United Nations Master's Program (UN MA) is accepting applications for a full-time Lecturer (Instructor). This position is non-tenure track, one-year non-renewable (academic year).
The Instructor of Professional Practice will be responsible for instructing/co-instructing courses such as: Intro to United Nations, International Law, Research Internship and other courses as needed.
Principal responsibilities include:
Instructing/co-instructing course(s) in the United Nations MA in Political Science for both the fall and spring terms.
Assist with curriculum development, conduct workshops when necessary, academic advising, review and provide constructive feedback to students, provide mentorship and counseling when necessary, as well as critical instruction regarding student work and academic standards.
Adopt innovative educational practices
Participate in local and external service activities, which may include recruitment programs and any departmental, school, and university function.
Oversee projects related to the administration of the academic program including attending School of Graduate Studies curriculum meetings, managing the European Summer Institute at the University of Kassel (Germany) and working closely with Study Abroad of Rutgers University.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Applicants for this position must have a Master's degree in a related area (Political Science, Global Affairs, Government, etc.) or a JD, and experience teaching or coordinating courses at the graduate level (teaching using online platforms preferred).
