The Department of Accounting in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas is interested in hiring a Lecturer to serve as the Director for its Institute of Petroleum Accounting. The job description and responsibilities include participating in monthly conference committee meetings with the North American Petroleum Accounting Conference, attending monthly FEI meetings and facilitating a mentoring program for UNT accounting and finance students, producing a summer executive education development breakfast, Chairing the AICPA/PDI National Oil and Gas conference, teaching or assisting in recruiting someone to teach Oil and Gas Accounting or Oil and Gas Taxation courses, teaching accounting/taxation courses for the department, attending monthly COPAS meetings, and co-chairing the North Texas Energy Investor Conference. The exact nature of the job function and responsibilities are negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, or equivalent, and professional certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the college undergraduate or graduate courses at the college/university level;
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
CPA certification
