Shortage of School Nurses Affects Students, Educators

School nurses struggle to make sure students can see, hear, and feel well enough to learn. The health needs of children suffering from asthma, obesity, diabetes, and substance abuse are escalating. About 25 percent of schools have no nurse, partly because of funding.
