Cogswell College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach "Basic Concepts of Anatomy and Physiology" course for the summer term beginning end of May 2017 AND for the Fall term beginning September 2017.

This course presents a systematic approach to the study of the human body beginning with an introduction to anatomical terminology. The topics covered in this course include the gross and microscopic anatomy of the following systems: skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive. The basic laboratory work for this course will parallel and reinforce concepts introduced in the lectures referring to practical models and other visual aids.

Course learning outcomes include:
1. Describing the human body in terms of its organs and cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, nervous, urinary, and reproductive systems, and explaining their functions.
2. Describing the human skeleton, muscles and surface structures as well as their functions.
3. Explaining how the body moves.
